Shipping Policy
Effective Date: October 7, 2026
This Shipping Policy explains how orders placed through maplemuse.store are prepared, dispatched, tracked, and delivered. We want every order to move through the process as clearly and smoothly as possible.
Please review this policy before placing an order, especially if you are purchasing for a birthday, wedding, holiday, trip, or another date-sensitive occasion.
1. Order Processing
After an order is submitted, it enters our order processing workflow. Processing may include payment confirmation, order review, product preparation, quality checks, packaging, label creation, and shipment handoff.
Because Maplemuse offers handcrafted and artisan-inspired jewelry and textile accessories, certain pieces may require more preparation than standard mass-produced inventory. Products involving embroidery, threadwork, beads, pearls, textile detailing, woven components, or hand finishing may need additional handling before dispatch.
Processing time is separate from carrier transit time. An order is not considered in transit until it has been prepared and handed to the relevant shipping provider or logistics partner.
2. Estimated Delivery Time
Estimated delivery time depends on the destination, shipping method, carrier route, customs requirements, seasonal volume, and local delivery conditions.
Any delivery estimate shown on our website, at checkout, in tracking, or in customer-service communication is an estimate unless we explicitly state that a guaranteed delivery service applies.
Because shipping involves independent carriers and transportation networks, Maplemuse cannot guarantee that every parcel will arrive on a specific date.
| Stage | What Happens | Possible Factors Affecting Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Processing | Order review, preparation, quality check, packing, and shipment setup. | Order volume, handmade preparation, holidays, product availability. |
| Carrier Transit | Parcel moves through transportation and distribution networks. | Distance, carrier workload, weather, route disruptions, weekends. |
| Customs | International shipments may be reviewed by destination authorities. | Import inspection, customs documentation, local procedures. |
| Final Delivery | Parcel reaches the local delivery network and recipient address. | Local backlog, access issues, failed delivery attempts, incorrect address. |
3. Shipping Destinations
Shipping availability is determined by the destination options shown at checkout. If your country, region, or postal code cannot be selected or a shipping method is not displayed, delivery may not currently be available to that destination.
Certain remote locations, islands, military addresses, restricted regions, or areas affected by carrier limitations may have fewer shipping options or longer transit times.
We reserve the right to cancel an order if we later determine that the destination cannot be reliably or legally serviced. If this occurs after payment has been captured, the applicable amount will generally be refunded to the original payment method.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping charges, when applicable, are shown during checkout before you finalize your order. Costs may vary based on destination, package characteristics, available service level, promotional offers, or other logistics factors.
From time to time, Maplemuse may offer free shipping or reduced-rate shipping as part of a promotion. Such offers may be subject to minimum purchase requirements, specific destinations, selected products, or limited promotional periods.
Unless stated otherwise, shipping fees do not necessarily include customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, or local government fees.
From our hands to your delivery address.
Handcrafted accessories deserve careful handling. Before shipment, orders may undergo a final review to help confirm that the product, quantity, and packaging are suitable for dispatch.
Once the parcel enters the carrier network, delivery progress depends on the transportation provider and destination infrastructure.
5. Tracking Information
Where tracking is available, tracking details are normally provided after your order has been prepared and shipment information has been generated.
The first tracking update may not appear immediately. In some cases, the shipping label is created before the carrier performs the first physical scan. This can result in a short period where tracking displays only limited information.
Tracking may also temporarily pause while a parcel is:
- Moving between carrier facilities
- Transferred between international and local logistics partners
- Awaiting customs processing
- Traveling through a route without intermediate scans
- Waiting for final-mile handoff
A temporary lack of tracking updates does not always mean the package has stopped moving.
6. Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for entering a complete and correct delivery address during checkout. Please review your address carefully before submitting payment.
This includes apartment numbers, unit numbers, building information, postal codes, state or province details, and any other information required for local delivery.
If you notice an address error after placing your order, contact us immediately at service@maplemuse.store. We will try to help if the order has not yet shipped, but we cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once fulfillment is underway.
After a parcel has entered the carrier network, address correction may be unavailable or may require additional procedures or fees imposed by the carrier.
7. Incorrect, Incomplete, or Undeliverable Addresses
If a parcel cannot be delivered because the shipping address provided was incomplete, incorrect, inaccessible, or otherwise undeliverable, the carrier may return the package, hold it for collection, request additional information, or dispose of it according to local procedures.
If a parcel is returned to us because of an address issue, contact us so we can review the available options. Additional shipping charges may apply if reshipment is requested and legally permitted.
8. International Shipping, Duties, and Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs review when entering the destination country or region. Customs procedures are controlled by local authorities and are outside Maplemuse's direct control.
Depending on the destination, the customer may be responsible for import duties, customs fees, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, or other local charges that are not collected at checkout.
These fees are determined by government agencies, customs authorities, or local carriers and may vary according to order value, product type, country, and local law.
If your parcel is held by customs, you may be contacted by the carrier or local authority for additional information or payment.
9. Customs Delays
International shipping estimates do not always include unpredictable customs delays. Most parcels move through customs normally, but occasional inspections, documentation reviews, public holidays, policy changes, or local backlogs can extend delivery time.
Unfortunately, Maplemuse cannot speed up or override an official customs process once the parcel is under customs control.
10. Delayed Shipments
Delivery delays can occur for reasons outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transportation interruptions, airline capacity, carrier backlog, customs processing, seasonal volume, natural disasters, public holidays, labor disruptions, security events, and local delivery conditions.
If your package appears delayed, we recommend first checking the latest tracking information. If the parcel has shown no meaningful movement for an unusually long period, contact us and we will review the available shipment data.
Please understand that carrier investigations can take time and often require us to wait for the shipping provider to complete its review.
11. Lost Packages
If tracking suggests that a package may be lost, contact us at service@maplemuse.store. We may need to contact the shipping carrier or logistics provider and request an investigation.
A package is not automatically considered lost simply because tracking has not updated for several days. International and long-distance shipments may occasionally experience extended scan gaps.
Where a carrier confirms that a shipment is lost, we will review the order and available resolution options in accordance with our policies and applicable law.
12. Packages Marked Delivered
If tracking shows “delivered” but you cannot locate the parcel, please first check:
- Around the delivery entrance, porch, mailbox, lobby, garage, or safe location
- With household members, neighbors, building staff, or reception
- Any delivery photo or carrier note
- Whether the carrier marked the parcel delivered slightly before physical arrival
If the parcel still cannot be located, contact the local carrier as soon as possible and then contact Maplemuse with your order number and tracking information.
13. Failed Delivery Attempts
Some carriers may make one or more delivery attempts before holding a parcel at a local facility or returning it to the sender.
Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking and following carrier instructions regarding collection, redelivery, or access requirements where applicable.
If a parcel is returned because it was not collected or because repeated delivery attempts were unsuccessful, additional shipping charges may apply to any requested reshipment.
14. Orders Needed by a Specific Date
If you need an item for an important occasion, we strongly recommend ordering well in advance. Handmade preparation and international logistics can both involve variables that are difficult to predict precisely.
We may provide an estimate or let you know whether a timeline appears reasonable, but unless a guaranteed delivery service is expressly stated, we cannot promise arrival by a specific date.
Maplemuse is not responsible for missed events, travel dates, ceremonies, birthdays, holidays, or other occasions caused by carrier delays outside our reasonable control, subject always to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Order Changes After Shipment
Once an order has been dispatched, we may not be able to change the shipping address, recipient name, delivery method, or destination.
Any post-dispatch changes depend on the carrier's available services. Some carriers may charge a rerouting or address-correction fee, while others may not allow changes at all.
16. Returned-to-Sender Shipments
A parcel may be returned to sender because of an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, refusal, customs issues, non-collection, or other carrier-related reasons.
If we receive a returned parcel, we will review the circumstances and contact you where possible. Depending on the reason for return and applicable law, options may include reshipment, refund consideration, or other resolution.
Original shipping charges and return-to-sender costs may not always be refundable where the return occurred because of an incorrect customer-provided address or failure to collect the package.
17. Damaged Packages
If your order arrives with visible shipping damage, please photograph the exterior package before discarding it. Then photograph the item, interior packaging, and shipping label where relevant.
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible with:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the problem
- Clear photos of the damaged product
- Photos of the outer packaging where relevant
This documentation can help us determine whether the issue is related to shipping damage, product damage, or packaging failure.
18. Missing Items from an Order
If you believe an item is missing from your shipment, first check all packaging carefully, especially small jewelry pouches, folded tissue, inserts, and compartments.
If an item is still missing, contact us with your order number and a photo of everything received. We will compare the shipment information with the original order and assist accordingly.
19. Refused Deliveries
If a shipment is refused by the recipient, it may be returned to the sender or handled according to the carrier's local procedures. Refusal does not necessarily result in an automatic full refund.
Any refund or reshipment will depend on the condition of the returned parcel, shipping costs, carrier charges, applicable policy, and mandatory consumer rights.
20. Carrier Responsibility
After a parcel is handed to a shipping provider, that provider controls transportation, scanning, routing, customs handoff, and final delivery operations.
While we will make reasonable efforts to assist customers with genuine delivery issues, we cannot directly control carrier schedules, transportation networks, customs decisions, or local delivery operations.
21. Force Majeure and Extraordinary Events
Shipping may be delayed by events outside reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, war, civil disturbances, public-health emergencies, labor disputes, transportation shutdowns, airline restrictions, border closures, government action, network outages, customs changes, or other major disruptions.
Where such events occur, delivery estimates may be extended without advance notice.
22. Shipping Policy Updates
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time to reflect changes in carriers, shipping services, international logistics, business procedures, legal requirements, or store operations.
The version published on this page will include the relevant effective date. We encourage customers to review the policy before placing a new order.
